We are often asked about our "Unlimited" data transfer and web space on the Ultimate Hosting package. Many people believe it is too good to be true. This is how the unlimited feature operates - it really is unlimited within reason.
Unlimited Data Transfer
By carefully managing and load balancing our network, we can offer unlimited data transfer on some hosting packages. To protect our users, we do not allow certain types of Web sites to use our services. These are:
- Adult content-orientated web sites
- File distribution web sites e.g. a web site distributing large movies, software or MP3s
- Hosting banners, graphics or cgi scripts for other web sites
- Storing pages, files or data as a repository for other web sites
- Reselling or giving away web space under a domain, sub domain or directory
If your site is a genuine business or home web site, we will accommodate your data transfer needs.
Unlimited Webspace
At Search Engine Friendly Hosting we use large network disk arrays which mean we can increase storage capacity with no downtime. Another advantage of this configuration is that there is always a backup array ready to take over in the event of a hardware failure.
If your web site starts to use a lot of space, we simply add storage to the array, with no interruption to your service.
All we request is that files stored on your server are directly related to your web site.
